Interior Design Collab

The Interior Design Collab is a problem-based learning initiative designed for 2nd and 3rd-year BA Interior Design students. It involves students working in teams to tackle real-world problems related to interior design, collaborating with a client to develop innovative and meaningful solutions to complex design challenges. This project was centred around the development of a new training facility at The Bridges for Music Academy located in Langa, Cape Town. The aim was to enhance the educational environment for aspiring musicians by creating additional space for students and staff. The initiative addressed the need for improved facilities that cater to the creative and educational needs of students in a township setting. Through cost-sensitive design solutions that blend South African creativity and functionality, the project aimed to create a vibrant, inspiring space that highlights local design while supporting the academy's mission to nurture musical talent within the community.
